Recommended Grade Level:  9 

Duration: 2 semesters

This course will enlarge the student's functional vocabulary, develop interpretive and analytical abilities in handling literature, refine the student's ability to write paragraphs, and enable the student to utilize a variety of skills.  Written book reports, abbreviated research paper and outside reading per each six weeks as well as the Accelerated Reading program each six weeks.
