Mr. Johnny Jackson became Assistant Principal in July, 2003. He was Principal of Tara during the 2002-2003 school year. He had been the Assistant Principal of Administration since 1996.  Mr. Jackson is highly respected and liked around campus. He encourages students to take control of their lives, "Taking control of your life means taking responsibility for your actions. If you refuse responsibility, you relinquish control." He has been in the educational field since 1972. He received his Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and +30 hours from Southern University, Baton Rouge.
