This is a chance for students and their families to help make Tara one of the top schools in the district.
Tara is now in the process of developing a new student media department. The first order of business is to create an FM radio station to broadcast live from school. The stations mission will be to educate, entertain and preserve Louisiana's unique musical heritage. The station will produce student talent to broadcast news documentaries, a radio reading service, in English and Spanish, homework help, lesson reviews, school announcements, school concerts, school plays, play by play broadcast of team sports, the student poetry slam and much, much more.
To help Tara with this endeavor please take some time and vote for Tara in the Kohl's Cares Giveaway; they are giving half a million dollars to 20 schools nation wide to fund innovative ideas. With your help, Tara could be one of those 20.
