Description: P.E.- In these courses the student is given various tests to assess their fitness, experience, and skill levels, thus exposing the strengths and weaknesses in all areas. Using the results as a starting point, a program of various activities will evolve, thereby satisfying the needs of the students. Periodic testing will be administered to measure growth in fitness and skill levels. Health - Topics selected will depend on the needs and levels of the students. Some of the topics will be substance use and abuse, consumer health, environmental and community health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, first aid, and mental and emotional well-being.

Title: TEAM SPORTS BLOCK 990017
Recommended Grade Level: 10-12 Duration: 2 semesters

Description: This course is designed to develop the student physically. The purposes are to improve neuromuscular efficiency, sport skills, the cardiovascular system, physical and mental hygiene, sportsmanship, leadership, and a desire to continue an active life of meaningful recreation after leaving the school environment. A variety of team, individual, and dual sports are presented in order to meet these desired objectives
All incoming ninth grade football players are invited to work out free of charge with the varsity team this summer on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Summer Weight room hours are:
7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
